ADOBE MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY  KART & FLATTRACK RACE NIGHT

Karts for Kids Track procedures:

  • 1 combined run group for Experts and Novice (who qualify) - most kids will get 4 racing sessions  

  • 2 Karting heat races (every driver runs each race) 

  • B-Main and A-Main (every driver runs each race) 

  • Kids sharing karts will get 2 sessions each 

  • Novice class goes behind Expert class for starts and restarts and has designated leader 

  • Expert class - raceivers, double file starts and get back in order for restarts - standard stuff (same)

  • Novice class - no raceivers, single file starts and get behind all the experts for restarts

  • During the 90 minute practice (approx 30 minutes in after the first round) all the new novice kids will be in staging, they will go out one at a time with Donald’s help, they’ll do 2 laps, if approved they’ll race and practice with the other kids for the remainder of the 90 minutes, if not approved, they will still get another practice session at the end of the practice time and will still get a participation trophy but will not run in the heats/mains

  • Yellow duct tape on the bottom of the front bumper and top of rear 

General Info

  • Start, if everyone is lined up, going green first time around, if leader jumps then 2 place penalty and keep racing 

(opens will always get 1 lap around because of the difficulty in starting them all at the same time) 

  • Rough Driving - can be verbal, 2 places, or tag, or DQ.  Doug is generally in turn 1 but Tammy Kiernan Chris Ted can also make these calls  (Eyes all the way around the track) 

  • If you have a problem with anyone: official, another competitor, another parent, go to Jim Willittes

General Admission: Ages 13 & up $10, 5-12 $5, 4 & Under Free
Pit Pass: Participants (any age) and Adults/Mechanics/Helpers Ages 13 & Up $40. 
                Ages 5 to 12 (non-drivers) $15, and Ages 4 & Under Free.
                (Minors must have a 2023 minor release on file)
